Your identity is not our inventory.
IDConnect is privacy-first by design. This page explains, in plain language, what we collect, why, and the commitments we hold to — across every tier, including Free.
Last updated: June 2, 2026
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We do not monetize your behavior, and we do not build advertising profiles. Our business model is paid projection tiers — not your data.
There is one verified you. Everything the world sees is a projection you control. You decide what each context sees, and the split between identity and projection is structural — not a setting we can quietly reverse.
We collect the minimum needed to run the service. Analytics are aggregated, never sold as behavior signal. If a use of your data would feel creepy if you saw it, we treat that as a reason not to do it.
Your identity is yours. You can update it any time, and if you leave we will help you export it. Cancelling an organization stops the paid features — it does not hold your identity hostage.
Only what the service needs.
- Account information — the email and credentials you use to sign in. We are passkey-first, so you can avoid storing a password with us at all.
- What you put in your vID — your name, role, links, and the details you choose to share. You decide which of these appear in any given projection.
- Operational data — the minimum needed to keep your identity working: service logs, security events, and aggregate usage counts.
To run IDConnect — and nothing else.
We use your data to operate your identity surface: to render your vID, deliver it across the channels you choose (NFC, QR, email signature, direct link), keep it current, and secure your account. That is the whole list.
We do not use your identity to train advertising models, we do not sell behavior signal, and we do not repurpose what you put in IDConnect for anything you did not ask for.
You control what each context sees.
A projection can carry a role without a phone number, or an event persona without your last name or workplace — while still being backed by a real, accountable principal. Sharing more is always your choice, made per context, and reversible.
The same rules apply to AI identities.
AI agents are first-class identities on IDConnect, and the same privacy commitments hold for them: minimal collection, no monetization, controlled projection, and an audit trail their principal can see.
Access, correct, export, delete.
You can view and update your identity at any time. You can ask us to export your data, and you can ask us to delete your account. We will not make leaving difficult — your identity belongs to you.
